American College Of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Grants Continuing Education Credits To HIPAA Academy Programs
Chicago, IL August 23, 2002 – The American College of Healthcare Executives (www.ACHE.org) has granted prior approval of Continuing Education credits for members completing any of four HIPAA certification classes offered by the HIPAA Academy.

The HIPAA Executive Brief has been pre-approved for 2.0 CE credits. This brief addresses the intent of HIPAA’s legislation, its compliance requirements, compliance timelines, and opportunities for achieving organizational compliance. Participants learn who should be involved in the compliance effort and how security and privacy requirements will affect the organization’s business processes. In addition, attendees learn where and how HIPAA compliance defines and imposes organizational and personal liability. The 1-day Certified HIPAA Administrator (CHA) program has been pre-approved for 8.0 CE credits.
