Program Manager
Government Works is looking to hire a Program Manager for their
location in Herndon VA
Functional Description of Candidate
General PM Job Requirements:
• Plans, directs, coordinates a cross-functional team’s
activities to manage and implement project and/or interrelated programs
from contract/proposal initiation to final
Operational Stage
• Develops, administers and controls the budget and P&L
for the program
• Identifies and assembles the appropriate blend of
resources to meet project/program needs and requirements, including
sub-contractor selection and IB resources
• Plans, schedules, monitors, and reports on activities
related to the project/program
• Leads the project/program team(s) in determining client
requirements and translating requirements into operational plans
• Ensures adherence to legally binding requirements and
client’s long-term goals
• Works with senior management on project/program
proposals, bids, contracts, estimates, and schedules
• Proposes and develops add-on program opportunities
• Controls project/program requirements, scope, and
change management issues
• Coaches and counsels members of cross-functional teams
to accomplish project/program goals, to meet established schedules, and
resolve technical/operational issues
• Establishes appropriate metrics for measuring key
program criteria
• Identifies and recommends contingency measures
• Maintains awareness of emerging technologies and
project/program management techniques
Specific Experience Requirements:
• Demonstrated experience in deploying and implementing a
very large scale system from initiation to final operational stage
(multi-tiered-highly-distributed technologies)
• Understanding of Clinical Environment and its
regulations (Patient Safety/Privacy – HIPAA)
• Understanding of Government Regulations surrounding
FISMA (Management, Operations, and Technical)
• Understanding of the Enterprise Management Framework
Technologies (i.e., IBM Tivoli, CA Unicenter, Microsoft SMS, HP Radia)
and interrelationships to other SCMS
Solutions
• Understanding of the Federated Configuration Management
database (CMDB) concepts and technologies
• Understanding of Identity and Access Management
(IdM/AM) concepts and technologies and their implications on Framework
concepts and technologies, and vice versa.
• Understanding of policy-based provisioning of software
on various platforms
• Understanding of automated and ongoing maintenance of
operating systems and enterprise-level software residing on all
servers/desktops connected to the enterprise
• Understanding of Model Office concepts and V&V
activities
• Understanding of the Push/Pull technologies,
enterprise-wide patch management, and general WAN-LAN architecture
knowledge
• Understanding of the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
service delivery process
