CMS has engaged auditors to perform HIPAA Security Audits for compliance with the regulation. CMS has also released a list of key personnel that will be interviewed during a security audit, and key documentation they will demand from organizations being audited.  CMS has made available additional information regarding the "upcoming HIPAA Security compliance audits to be conducted around the country in the coming months."
